We are looking for Freelance seamstress with pattern making experience who is able to cut and sew for pre-production, custom orders and small order fulfillment. Specializes in Leggings, T-shirts, Joggers, Bodysuits, Swimsuits and Puffer coats.
*MUST BE LOCATED IN METRO DETROIT*
*Temporarily remote until we open up studio space*
Must have a working sewing machine at your home and be able to work remotely.
Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
-Advanced knowledge of garment construction,& fabric knowledge.
- Must know how to thread and operate a variety of sewing machines
- Must have industry knowledge and be able to critique the quality of a
garment.
-Must have compassion for the learning process while also
maintaining expectations of quality.
- A good understanding and interest in sustainable practices in the
fashion industry, or willingness to learn.
- Must be able to problem solve and aid in strategic planning.
Requirements:
- Must be able to provide a portfolio or images of work. We will also need to see garments in person once an interview has been scheduled.
-You will be responsible for cutting & sewing samples and small batch production. The candidate must be highly skilled and self motivated.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
