Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Freight Forwarder – Export Operations with at least 5 years of experience in handling international shipments across air, ocean, and road. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of trade compliance, client coordination, and carrier negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end export operations including bookings, documentation, and shipment tracking.
- Coordinate with carriers, agents, brokers, and vendors for timely cargo movement.
- Prepare export documents (Invoices, Packing Lists, B/L, COO, etc.).
- Utilize TMS and EDI for shipment visibility and updates.
- Ensure compliance with international trade and FDA regulations.
- Resolve shipment issues and address customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to meet service expectations.
- Maintain accurate records and support process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of export freight forwarding experience.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, customs, Incoterms, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience in air, ocean, and multimodal exports.
- Proficient in TMS and EDI systems.
- Familiar with NVOCC and 3PL processes.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FDA-regulated shipments.
- Exposure to global clients or multinational logistics.
- Working knowledge of export licenses and trade documentation.
