Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary (CRCCS) is a recovery and rehabilitation center for unadoptable shelter dogs across the US. We are an animal shelter and behavior center offering a variety of programs and services for other animal shelters and the community. CRCCS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
CRCCS is seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented individual to take the reins at our front desk. The front desk is the captain of our ship! This position handles all of our scheduling, calls, emails, and texts for the animal shelter and the training division and serves as the assistant to the lead behaviorist. This position serves as the friendly, professional "first face" that all of our clients, donors, and volunteers see when they walk in the door. Our programs have grown exponentially; therefore, this job is busy all day, every day. There is a lot of room for growth!!
The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
This is not a quiet office job with extended periods of downtime. This job is up-tempo with lots of people and animals needing help. Days are busy with lots of activity. You will be moving around and handling multiple things at once. Days go by fast!
Job responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling all appointments to do with the dogs such as adoption visits, training sessions, new intakes, sleepovers, coaching sessions, behavior consultations, vet appointments, volunteer/adopter training, coordinating final adoption days and more.
- Receiving and responding to all calls, texts, and emails that come through our facility.
- Receiving donations, speaking with walk-ins, handling money, tracking training sessions, answering questions on our programs and more.
- Creating a daily agenda for our entire staff of 20 people.
The individual at the front desk plays a very critical role in our organization, helping us run smoothly and efficiently in saving lives, helping people in need, and maximizing what we can do with both time and money. The front desk is also the first face that people will come into contact with when inquiring about behavior training, adoption, volunteering, or adopting. This position is the initial face of the organization so excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional presentation are a must.
