Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and proficiency in various accounting software. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist with year-end closing processes and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms as needed for tax preparation and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, Quicken, or Xero.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with payroll processing and related regulations.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and balance sheet reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external partners.
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus.
