Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Gas Station Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the gas station is well-stocked and organized. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their needs.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including restocking shelves and merchandising products effectively.
- Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and upsell additional products to customers.
- Supervise staff as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer engagement.
- Experience with merchandising and stocking is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
