General Manager & Community Engagement Lead
Location: BFT Redondo Beach
BFT Redondo Beach is on the hunt for a high-energy, results-driven leader to take on a hybrid role that combines studio operations, team leadership, local marketing, and sales strategy. As our General Manager & Community Engagement Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our studio’s growth and culture—leading our team, growing our membership base, and representing BFT within the Redondo Beach community.

Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations & Sales Leadership
- Oversee all daily studio operations to ensure an exceptional member experience.
- Develop and implement monthly sales strategies to exceed membership targets.
- Hire, train, and lead both front desk and coaching staff to deliver consistent service excellence.
- Track performance metrics, manage budgets, and optimize KPIs to maximize studio profitability.
- Ensure the studio is always welcoming, clean, and safe for members and staff.
Team Development
- Conduct weekly team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to drive accountability and alignment.
- Coach staff on sales techniques, member retention, and customer service best practices.
- Create a positive, professional team environment focused on collaboration and performance.
Community Engagement & Local Marketing
- Build and maintain B2B partnerships with local businesses, health professionals, and apartment communities.
- Plan and host engaging events such as open houses, themed workouts, and member appreciation days.
- Lead grassroots marketing initiatives including pop-up workouts and corporate wellness collaborations.
- Represent BFT at local expos, events, and networking opportunities to generate leads and elevate brand awareness.
Member Experience & Retention
- Drive community connection through weekly in-studio events and member milestone celebrations.
- Launch “Member of the Month” campaigns, fitness challenges, and reward-based retention programs.
- Gather and act on member feedback to continuously improve satisfaction and loyalty.
Social Media & Content Collaboration
- Manage the local studio’s social media presence in coordination with the Social Media Manager.
- Collaborate with coaches on movement demos, Q&A sessions, and member spotlights.
- Lead local contests and referral campaigns to boost engagement and drive leads both online and in person.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in studio management, fitness sales, or community marketing (boutique fitness preferred).
- A track record of exceeding sales goals and growing memberships.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Comfortable with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and up to date on content trends.
- Genuine passion for health, fitness, and helping others live their best lives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
