General Manager (Finance) [For serving HA staff only]

Pay\: HK$106,791 to HK$166,880 (HMPS Point 12 to 21) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities\:
The General Manager (Finance) will report directly to the Cluster General Manager (Finance).
1.
Assist the Cluster General Manager (Finance) [CGM(F)] in the implementation of corporate strategies, policies, initiatives and systems, and drive efficiency by\:
a)
Supporting the CGM(F) in ensuring the effective and proper functioning of the four core finance teams\:
- Payroll Operations, Projection, and Analysis; and
- Financial Operations, Support, and Financial Accounting; and
- Budget Planning and Management; and
- Revenue Management.
b)
Leading the execution of corporate strategies within the cluster to ensure alignment with organizational guidelines while addressing hospital-specific needs.
c)
Serving as a liaison between the Head Office (HO) Finance team and the Cluster Finance team.
d)
Providing post-implementation feedback and proposing enhancements for continuous improvement.
2.
Serve as the key linked person in one of the sizable acute hospitals to ensure timely provision of finance-related support to stakeholders (e.g. clinical heads) by\:
a)
Providing financial advisory and support to hospital management teams.
b)
Managing day-to-day financial operations efficiently and effectively.
c)
Ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies and standards while maintaining a robust system of internal controls.
3.
Provide guidance on issues arising from daily financial operations and align practices across hospitals, thereby enabling the CGM(F) to focus on key strategic priorities and financial advisory to Cluster Chief Executive [CCE] by\:
a)
Conducting regular assessments of the quality and consistency of financial services across hospitals in the cluster.
b)
Identifying gaps in financial controls and develop corrective action plans to address them.
c)
Contributing to the development of efficiency improvements for the core finance functions.
Entry Requirements\:
1.
Tertiary education; major in business or financial management, OR professional accounting qualification e.g. associate member of ACCA / CIMA / HKSA.
2.
Experience in managing a variety of accounting functions ie financial accounting, management accounting, financial planning etc. in an organization of comparable size, OR specialist experience in one accounting function with good exposure in other aspects of financial management.

Exposure in computerized financial systems.

Formal management training.
