Southern Minnesota Woodcraft is a commercial architectural millwork company based in Faribault, Minnesota, specializing in commercial and residential casework, solid surface & stone tops, custom desks, fixtures and millwork for educational, medical, hospitality & corporate environments.
Southern Minnesota Woodcraft is looking for a General Millwork Operator to join our team. The hired individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used to produce millwork products, cabinets, and architectural woodwork.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assemble cabinet parts per drawings and/or verbal instructions.
· Operate millwork machinery such as molders, routers, saws, planers, etc. to perform various machining operations on wood or wood composite materials.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications related to millwork products.
· Understand dimensions, tolerances, and machining.
· Setup machines according to work orders.
· Load and unload raw materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning for machining operations.
· Inspect materials for defects.
· Ability to plan and organize tasks to meet project deadlines.
· Identify and troubleshoot machinery or material issues and report any problems to appropriate staff.
· Ensure finished product is accurate and visually pleasing.
· Confirm work area is clean and organized during and after production.
· Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating millwork machinery.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift and move 30 pounds.
· Standing and walking.
