Join our team and put your craftsmanship to the test as a part of our Cabinet and Millwork Fabrication Team!
We are Rogers Custom Millwork, a Jonesboro based team specializing in custom carpentry and millwork products. Quality and confidence are two key products we offer, with over 25 years of experience in cabinets and carpentry. Our process does not involve catalogs, select product lines, or paint swatches. The client's direction and vision define the blueprints-- Custom is our namesake!
We're seeking a Operator/Builder that is able to work in a shop environment and create these high end custom products. This individual would ideally have experience in machine operation and cabinetry assembly, though all relevant experience will be considered. Training for our processes and standards is supplied, though a positive attitude and demonstrable aptitude is a must.
A typical day would involve:
- Following shop drawings and cutlists to fabricate a variety of cabinet and millwork products utilizing an array of equipment. Examples of machinery to be encountered include: Planers, Shapers, CNC Routers, Multi Moulding Machines, Wide Belt Sanders, Edgebanding Machines, and basic tools such as a tablesaw, router, and power tools.
- Familiarizing yourself with the specifics of each machine in order to safely and efficiently set up and operate all processes required.
- Assembling finished components into completed assemblies.
- Examining workpieces for quality and aesthetic defects.
- Maintaining a safe, orderly work environment.
Most operations are based in a shop located in the Jonesboro area, though occasional travel to assist in Install operations may be necessary.
Experience and/or capability to perform the following:
- Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent and a valid drivers license.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, documentation, and verbal instructions.
- Good working knowledge of mathematics and basic geometry, able to read a tape measure and other quality instruments (calipers, rules, scales, etc.), and able to work with and convert both Metric and Imperial measurements.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools both safely and competently, with some familiarity with basic tools a must. Training provided for specialty tools.
- Good mechanical aptitude and experience setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery and fabrication equipment.
- Attention to detail a must, as well as the ability to work on fine detail, high end products with a goal of minimal errors and rework.
Compensation is based on experience and ability. Raises will be determined at least semi-annually based on the position’s evaluation form that details how pay is calculated.
