Job Title: Graphic Designer & Digital Content Creator
Reports To: Worship & Communication Pastor
Status: Full-Time
Location: MISSION Church/Gilbert, AZ
Overview:
MISSION Church is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Creative Arts team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about visual storytelling and wants to use their design skills to help people meet Jesus and follow Him fully. You’ll lead the charge in designing graphics that capture attention and communicate clearly — from sermon series artwork and event branding to social media visuals and more. You’ll also support our team with light video editing and short-form content creation to help our church’s message reach further and connect deeper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graphic Design (Primary Focus)
- Design compelling, on-brand graphics for sermon series, events, print materials, signage, and digital platforms
- Create content for social media that aligns with our brand voice and engages our audience
- Maintain consistency in style and tone across all church communications
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop visuals that support their initiatives
2. Video Editing (Support Role)
- Edit simple video projects such as announcements, testimonies, and recap videos
- Format sermon content for web and social use as needed
3. Short-Form Content Creation (Support Role)
- Assist in capturing and editing short-form videos (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
- Stay informed on current digital content trends and help brainstorm fresh ideas
4. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative Arts team, Creative Arts Pastor and Communications Team on weekly creative needs
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help bring new creative ideas to life
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong portfolio in graphic design (branding, layout, social media, digital & print)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Working knowledge of video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects is a bonus)
- Passionate about using design for ministry impact
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with church culture and a heart for reaching people with the gospel
