We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Group Home Team Lead to oversee daily operations and provide direct support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism, dementia, and other developmental or memory care challenges. This role is ideal for someone with caregiving experience who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities within a supportive residential environment.
As a Team Lead, you will not only assist clients with daily living activities but also supervise staff, coordinate care plans, and help ensure a safe, consistent, and client-centered group home experience. You will serve as a bridge between staff, healthcare professionals, and management to maintain high-quality service and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) during assigned shifts.
- Ensure daily schedules and care plans are followed and updated as needed.
- Provide hands-on assistance to clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, mobility, and meals.
- Administer medications accurately, document administration, and monitor side effects.
- Conduct routine client observations and report health or behavioral changes promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA, safety, and company regulations.
- Support clients in achieving personal goals, participating in community activities, and building independence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment.
- Communicate effectively with families, case managers, and healthcare providers.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to care planning, and support training of new staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a direct support or caregiving role is required.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a group home or residential setting is strongly preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
- Experience with medication administration and documentation protocols is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in behavioral health or human services are a plus.
