Position Summary 

The purpose of this role is to be a key contributor in the continuous development and implementation of CAVU’s accelerated Experiences growth strategy. Deliverables include opening more lounges across AMER and unlocking new and incremental revenue growth.   


This position will be accountable for managing the full cycle relationship of business development from creating leads, managing the RFP process, and maintaining the overall relationship with clients and partners.   

This role is hybrid and does require the ability to travel up to 50% of any given week.  


Requirements 

Business Development – Comb the market to continuously develop a pipeline of prospects (e.g. lounge, airline, other commercial partnerships) by identifying opportunities either directly or via RFP/tender, completing requisite internal and external processes and documentation in a timely manner. Producing high-quality responses, ensuring CAVU is professionally represented and has the best possible opportunity to win in line with associated demanding bid timescales, while strategically appraising prospects against the business plan. 


Innovative thinking –  Through thorough knowledge and research of the industry, deliver innovative solutions that drive revenue and guest satisfaction. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the CAVU product and services and be able to communicate with the authority about new product developments to prospective and existing clients. 


Key Account Management – Deliver best-in-class account management to our airport, airline, sales agent and card consolidator contracts. Own the onboarding process through to implementation and ongoing key account management - subsequently seeking to deepen the relationship through additional products and services or broader value add initiatives. Oversee key account management, including business review meetings with all key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure that both commercial goals of the business are met and that the relationship with key external partners remains positive. 


Financial – Deliver Growth revenue in the business plan for the Experiences division for AMER.  Produce regular, robust and engaging information, including maintaining status updates through  HubSpot, dynamic dashboards in line with internal periodic reporting process requirements, and Exco reports as needed.  Moving beyond overall revenue generation to develop strategies for EBITDA optimisation within the business, whilst protecting and growing the long-term commercial performance of the business and guest satisfaction levels across our network. 


Conferences/trade events  – Represent CAVU externally at conferences and expos to stimulate lead generation alongside introducing and presenting CAVU and its product and services to prospecting clients during introductory meetings, demonstrating a  thorough understanding of their market/needs and CAVU capabilities.  Furthermore, establish a network of meaningful relationships with key industry colleagues.  


Skills and Experience Required 

· Minimum 5 - 8 years’ experience in a growth or business development leadership role within the aviation commercial, retail or hospitality industry 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to articulate difficult business scenarios through clear communication 

· Strong analytical skills, proven ability to consume data and provide clear outputs.  

· IT literate & proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel (working with models, forecasting etc) 

· Experience with tender processes and managing project timelines 

· Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, etc., and Contract systems such as Luminance and Docusign.  

· Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with colleagues, clients, and partners at all organizational levels, including presenting proposals to C-suite leaders 

· Strong negotiation skills, as this role will be involved in contract negotiations with airport directors and key airline stakeholders 

· Experience managing contracts and partnering with legal counsel on agreeing to terms and conditions for clients and partners 

· Ability to collaborate cross-departmentally with key stakeholders 

· Key Account Management overseeing key partners and clients such as airport directors, chief commercial officers, etc.
