REPORTS TO: General Manager
This job exists to direct, coordinate, and supervise all Sales Office personnel in all sales related activities, including direct sales efforts, follow-up, and proper sales administration.
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business for both the Rooms department and the Food and Beverage department in order to maximize revenue and profits.
At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least two years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
Computer, telephone, calculator, other office equipment.
Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state (see Loss Prevention 8203).
Long hours sometimes required.
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Radisson/Upsky standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
Comply at all times with Radisson/Upsky standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Supervise and administer all activities of the Sales department.
Develop a full understanding of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Front Desk and Reservations.
Develop a full understanding of company sales policies.
Coordinate group and corporate bookings to maximize profits.
Operate within established budget.
Coordinate all non-group transient sales solicitations to maximize overall profits.
Initiate and follow up on leads.
Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
Develop and implement a continuous sales training program for sales staff.
Prepare required reports in a timely manner.
Maintain call report and booking report files.
Conduct regular sales meetings.
Coordinate with Catering/Convention Services all business involving banquet and rooms revenue.
Conduct regular WBR meetings.
Monitor and audit incentive compensation worksheets.
Complete all special projects in a timely manner as directed by General Manager
Offer and implement innovative ideas, methods, procedures and SOP’s to further streamline the department
Entertain clients as necessary
Maintain strong visibility in local community organizations.
Other duties as required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
