Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and implement necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Policy Development & Implementation:
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies align with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- Audits & Risk Assessments:
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps.
- Collaborate with departments to address findings and implement corrective actions.
- Training & Education:
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
- Promote a culture of compliance through ongoing education and communication.
- Incident Management:
- Investigate compliance-related complaints or violations.
- Report incidents to appropriate authorities and oversee remediation efforts.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and training.
- Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with Legal, HR, IT, and Clinical teams to ensure compliance in all operational areas.
- Serve as a liaison during external audits or regulatory inspections.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field. Certification in Healthcare Compliance or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of all federal and state laws and regulations applicable to the healthcare industry, including HIPAA, FWA regulations, OSHA regulations, among others, as well as healthcare accreditation standards.
