Handle processing HELOC applications submitted by Financial Service Officers in branches and service centers. Review title order documents and borrower information for accuracy. Prepare loan documents, and fund loans within the requirements of loan policies established by the Credit Union.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and process all incoming HELOC loan applications.
  • Perform reviews on loan applications such as title reports, flood determinations, hazard binders, and appraisals.
  • Review the loan for basic required investor overlay requirements.
  • Handle required disclosures following the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, (RESPA) (Regulation X), Truth in Lending (Regulation Z), and Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B).
  • Assist Loan Officer's with title vesting and loan scenarios.
  • Prepare, complete and accurate loan documents for loan closing.
  • Audit signed loan documents to ensure loans will be funded accurately
  • Record Deed of Trust with the proper county.
  • Assist with various HELOC loan duties as required.
  • Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with external vendors throughout the entire loan process
  • Perform various post-closing duties on loan applications such as following up on the receipt of final title policies and deeds, paying fees, and quality control.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ensure priority responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain detailed notes within loan origination system (LOS) throughout entire loan transaction.
  • Work closely with underwriting to order necessary reports and additional reports as needed.

Qualifications:

High School diploma / GED preferred. Must be organized. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records. Ability to cope with high pressured situations. Knowledge of general lending policies. Understanding of Credit Union and department goals and objectives. Proficient in math, 10 key, and computer usage. Ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Performance Standard:

Must take pride in department by processing loans in a timely and efficient manner with a high attention to detail. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a strong sense of urgency as well as focuses on attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy

Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.


Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
