Position Overview:
We are seeking a Billing Coordinator to support our finance operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and smooth coordination between our care teams and payers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and track client authorizations, ensuring timely renewals to avoid service interruptions
- Resubmit denied or rejected claims and follow up diligently until resolved
- Process and close out billing cycles with precision and efficiency
- Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims, providing required documentation
- Maintain and verify client eligibility with insurance providers and Medicaid programs
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements, agency policies, and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate closely with scheduling, payroll, and administrative teams to maintain billing accuracy
- Generate billing reports and assist with audits as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical or home care billing required
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, private insurance, and home care billing practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
- Effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred)
