Job Summary: Assist guests efficiently, professionally and courteously in all Front Desk functions, and maintain high standards for service and hospitality. Must be available to work any shift, but primarily 2nd shift. Weekends and holidays are required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide the highest quality of service to our customers.
Promptly and effectively handle guest complaints and requests. Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner. Post guest charges and compute guest billing correctly, collect payment and follow cash handling procedures. Be knowledgeable of IHG Rewards program and promotions. Take reservations and requests accurately and efficiently. Answer switchboard with proper telephone etiquette. Block rooms and monitor room activity. Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. Offer and properly schedule wake up calls. Inform management of any guest or systems related complaints or problems. Communicate with management and staff by logging information to pass to on in logbook. Must be neat in appearance and wear proper uniform. Practice safety standards. Keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs. Perform simple maintenance as needed. Be able to move luggage, packages, cribs and roll away beds weighing up to 40 pounds. Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company including, but not limited to those in the employee handbook. We maintain a drug-free workplace. We are looking for a friendly, out-going person with a positive attitude that can work well with minimal supervision. Previous hotel experience preferred or at least 1 year customer service experience.
First Aid/CPR Certified is preferred.
