At the Autism Center of Excellence, we provide high-quality ABA therapy services to children with autism across North Carolina , Maryland, and Virginia. We’re looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who’s ready to make a difference—by supporting the people who make that care possible.
Position Overview
As our HR Coordinator, you’ll be a key member of the Human Resources team—ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, compliance with healthcare regulations, and a positive experience for employees across our clinics. What You’ll Do
- Manage onboarding, including background checks, credentialing, and required healthcare certifications
- Serve as the go-to resource for employee questions about benefits, payroll, and HR policies
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and labor regulations
- Coordinate employee training programs, including annual healthcare-related courses
- Track and manage leave requests (including FMLA, ADA, and other healthcare-related leaves)
- Support and refine HR policies that reflect healthcare HR best practices
- Partner with clinic leaders to address staffing needs and employee relations concerns
- Monitor performance reviews and assist with performance improvement plans (PIPs)
- Plan employee engagement activities like wellness events and recognition programs
- Contribute to special HR projects related to compliance, DEI, and workforce engagement
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of HR experience in a healthcare setting (ABA or behavioral health a plus)
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare credentialing requirements
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
