Piper Sandler is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Operations Coordinator to join our Human Capital team in Minneapolis.
The ideal candidate will primarily assist in the administration of benefits and support daily HR operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, organization and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day function of HR Services. Manage incoming phone and email inquires from employees and managers regarding HR, benefits and/or payroll requests.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement and other perks. Escalating advanced inquires to team members as needed.
Coordinate onboarding process for new hires, including managing the I-9 process.
Process terminations, employee job changes and complete HR audits to ensure accurate employee records.
Serve as approver for HR operational workflows in Workday, such as title changes, cost center changes, etc.
Manage employment verification process and incoming requests.
Complete unemployment requests.
Serve as main point of contact for contractor hires or terminations in Workday.
Support requests for clarity on time-off policies and weekly timekeeping in Workday.
Complete reporting out of Workday and highlight Workday access that employees have for self-service.
Sustain accurate records and documentation pertaining to total rewards programs.
Maintenance of HR file room.
Perform other duties as assigned and/or required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
1–2 years’ experience in Human Resources; emphasis in benefits and payroll preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
A good understanding of department specific policies and procedures
Knowledge/ Interest in benefit regulations and best practices preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Outlook) and Workday/or willing to learn

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $55,000 - $69,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
