Position Title: Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator.
Reports to: Office Manager.
Objectives:
The HR and Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Office Manager in day-to-day activities related to the provision of recruiting, payroll, benefits, safety, and employee life cycle.
Essential Functions:
- Administer various human resources programs and procedures for all employees.
- Maintain personnel files in both physical and HRIS.
- Administration of recruitment activities, including tracking of recruitment status, reviewing resumes, conducting reference checks, and preparing offer letters.
- Oversee Onboarding, Orientation, and Offboarding processes and verify accurate completion of appropriate checklists.
- Verify employees’ time and payroll data, including commissions, post wages, and deductions, and process biweekly payroll data.
- Perform benefit plan administration, including the preparation of renewals, management of new hire enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Organize various employee recognition events.
- Record Workers' Compensation Injury claims and reporting.
- Assist with FMLA, CT Paid Leave.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Work Experience:
- Working knowledge of HR related labor laws, including FLSA, FMLA, OSHA regulations, and other applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
- High School Diploma with at least 3-5 years of applicable experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative functions, including office equipment.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM.
