Off The Hook is seeking a Human Resources and Accounting Administrator to support the daily HR and accounting operations that keep our organization running smoothly. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, assisting with payroll processing, and supporting team member onboarding, benefits administration, and terminations. The HR and Accounting Administrator will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all responsibilities, while collaborating closely with internal teams to uphold a positive and efficient workplace environment.

Job Description
Off The Hook is seeking a Human Resources and Accounting Administrator to support the daily HR and accounting operations that keep our organization running smoothly. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, assisting with payroll processing, and supporting team member onboarding, benefits administration, and terminations. The HR and Accounting Administrator will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all responsibilities, while collaborating closely with internal teams to uphold a positive and efficient workplace environment.
As the Human Resources and Accounting Administrator, You Will:
Human Resources
- Validate and Export employee onboarding and documentation
- Respond to employment verifications and garnishment requests, and input garnishment deductions
- Respond to earnings verification/ audit requests
- Assist with background checks and offer letters
- Data collection, preparation of employee and payroll information for compliance reports
- Assist in benefits administration, including processing new hires, terminations, and employee changes
- Process employee separations through the Louisiana Workforce Commission
- Maintain digital employment files
- As needed, act as backup for processing weekly payroll
- Assist in the reconciliation of all benefit deduction statements with payroll pre-process reports
- Assist in the Reconciliation of monthly benefits bills
- Validate and approve daily sales summaries
- Input credit card transactions and assist with statement summaries and expense reports
- Upload invoices for automated processing
- Audit and approve incoming invoices and other payment requests for appropriate coding and authorizations
- Handle vendor communications to resolve disputes
- Process approved Accounts Payable Check Run weekly
- Assist with maintaining vendor files, including W-9 and VIPs
- Communicate with the Operations team regarding document retrieval
- Generate reports from accounting systems as needed
- Assist with other accounting-related tasks as assigned
- Organize the office space to also serve as a welcome reception area
- Ensure the snack bar and water supply are consistently stocked for visitors
- Maintain the office inventory, conducting weekly inventory checks to keep par levels up to date on normal office supplies
- 1 - 3 years of experience in Human Resources and Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, or similar
- Excellent attention to detail is a must
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Literacy in Technology and Accounting Systems
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
