Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This role is a great opportuity to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll help keep our people operations running smoothly, from assisting new employees to supporting payroll and compliance efforts - all while helping foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Post job openings, coordinate interviews, and support new hire onboarding
- Maintain employee records and update data in our HR system (Paylocity)
- Help track attendance and leave records to support payroll and benefits
- Assist with employee events, training sessions, and internal HR communications
- Ensure compliance documentation is accurate and up to date
- Perform other general administrative tasks to support the HR department
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; HR coursework or certification a plus
- At least 1 year of administrative experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Familiarity with HRIS (e.g., Paylocity) preferred
- Basic knowledge of employment laws a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear, professional communication—both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Standard office setting with moderate noise levels
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
