Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and resilient HR Coordinator to join our team in Corona, CA. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and can easily shift between tasks while maintaining accuracy and compliance. The HR Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related matters, providing guidance and support on payroll coordination with our payroll team, benefits administration, compliance, employee record management, HRIS management, and employee relations. This individual must demonstrate grit, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills to handle escalations, support progressive discipline processes, and ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with managing the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, new hire orientation, offboarding, and exit interviews.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment support.
- Oversee worker’s compensation from start to finish for all claims
- Oversee the Leave of Absence administration
- Maintain personnel files and HRIS accuracy.
- Manage attendance, PTO, and leave tracking.
- Oversee labor law compliance (I-9, OSHA, EEOC, FMLA).
- Conduct audits and ensure deadlines are met.
- Keep employee handbook and policies updated.
- Act as first point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Support conflict resolution and disciplinary documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews for departing staff.
- Communicate changes (new hires, terminations, pay adjustments) to payroll.
- Audit payroll reports for accuracy.
- Partner with leadership to problem-solve employee relations issues and provide consistent HR guidance.
- Contribute to HR initiatives, projects, and process improvements to support company growth.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of HR administration or generalist experience, preferably in a fast-paced industry.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with progressive discipline and supporting employee relations matters.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities.
- Resilient, gritty, and solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust at all levels.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR-related tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Must be able to work onsite in Corona, CA during normal business hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
