HR Specialist | Join a Mission-Driven Team at Pennant Services! 🌟
Your Role
As an HR Specialist , you'll be a key player in supporting and enhancing the full employee life cycle. From onboarding to compliance audits and HR system support, your contributions will ensure a seamless and positive experience for every team member. You’ll work closely with HR, payroll, legal, and operations teams to help scale our HR operations in a growing, multi-state environment.
What You’ll Do
✔ Manage onboarding processes from job requisition through Day One
✔ Oversee and audit I-9s, ensuring compliance across all teams
✔ Maintain and audit employee records in our HRIS (Workday)
✔ Support Workday training, troubleshoot user issues, and improve system processes
✔ Partner with payroll and finance for accurate employee data and costing allocations
✔ Assist with background checks, job descriptions, internal transfers, and system access
✔ Extract and analyze HR data to drive organizational insights
✔ Collaborate with legal on foreign employment authorizations
✔ Contribute to monthly HR results reporting and presentations
✔ Promote compliance, confidentiality, and our organizational core values
What We’re Looking For
✅ 1-2+ years of experience in HR, onboarding, or HR administration
✅ Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
✅ Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
✅ Familiarity with federal and state employment laws (a plus!)
✅ Confident in Microsoft Office; Workday or HRIS experience is a big plus
✅ Clear communicator with a service-first mindset
✅ Self-sufficient team player who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
