Position Summary
Performs a wide range of administrative responsibilities, including, but not limited to, managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), assisting with the Learning Management System (LMS), and providing general office support. Key duties involve handling file and contract management per retention policies, coordinating employee appreciation events, supporting Performance Management and Classification and Compensation tasks, and serving as the Department Representative on the Risk Management Committee and Safety Officer for the Department.
This position is Full-Time in the office/onsite. There is no opportunity for hybrid/remote work
NOTE: While the full pay range is posted, the budgeted started pay is $25.71/hour. However, some consideration will be given for those that have education, years of relevant experience, and/or certifications that are over and above the minimum qualifications as outlined below.
What You Will Do
- Coordinates and prepares Employee Recognition/Appreciation activities, including, but not limited to, the monthly Employee Recognition Program, Food Truck Vendors, and maintenance of the Employee Appreciation SharePoint page.
- Supports TPS office operations: Provides daily administrative support to the TPS office staff, including, but not limited to, greeting customers, processing (delivering, picking up, and/or sorting) mail, answering phones, researching/ordering supplies and equipment, take meeting minutes and notes for Department and Employee Appreciation Committee meetings or other meetings as assigned., maintaining office and staff memberships, and managing payroll and timekeeping.
- Assists the Compensation Team with duties related to Classification and Compensation, including but not limited to creating and updating Job Profiles/Descriptions, gathering classification data, completing surveys, responding to requests from outside agencies, and entering job information into online systems, such as NEOGOV, Workday, and/or Salary.com.
- Performs budgetary duties including, but not limited to, processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR); processing department purchasing cards and gathering information for yearly budget preparation; pulling reports as needed and/or requested. Assist with managing the Employee Appreciation budget.
- Assists with the Learn Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, preparing materials and rooms for in-person classes, uploading certificates, licenses, and classes; enrolls participants and tracks employee participation in online classes; inputs employee training certifications.
- Assists with department-related events and programs, including, but not limited to, Corporate Cup, Health Fairs, and Employee Appreciation activities that may include participation during hours outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
- Assists with the Perform Management system, including, but not limited to, answering program questions, monitoring and tracking completion, pulling reports, and updating as needed.
- Performs File Management and Contract Management duties: scans, files, and manages files and contracts per all State record retention policies and practices.
- Acts as the designated TPS Safety Representative, including, but not limited to, attendance at the Risk Management meetings, participation and coordination of safety exercises, and sharing information from Risk Management Committee meetings with the TPS Department.
- Maintains the cleanliness and order of the department, including the breakroom (appliances and cabinets)
- Schedules the office conference room; coordinates conference room set-up and tear down including assisting with presentation equipment.
- Submits work orders to Facilities & Information Technology Services as needed and/or necessary.
- Completes annual inventory reports.
What You Have
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Human Resources preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years or more of Human Resources Experience required
- Minimum of one (1) year or more experience with Online HR platforms similar to NEOGOV, Workday, KRONOS, Salary.com, or similar systemsrequired
- Minimum of one (1) year or more experience with Classification/Compensation preferred
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Human Resources Certification from SHRM, HRCI, or another related agency preferred

DEPARTMENTS SCHEDULED TO WORK ON HOLIDAYS
Due to operational requirements, some employees will be required to work on holidays. The employee must take the holiday by the end of the month following the holiday at a date approved by their Elected Official or Department Director
SICK LEAVE
Regular full-time employees accrue eight (8) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 960 hours.
VACATION LEAVE
- Upon initial date of hire: earn eight (8) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 144 hours.
- After 5 years: earn twelve (12) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 216 hours.
- Ater 10 years: earn sixteen (16) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 288 hours.
RETIREMENT
All Regular Full-Time employees and Elected Officials are required to participate in the County Retirement Plan upon completion of one (1) month of continuous employment. A pre-tax deduction of 8.25% will be deducted from the employee's monthly pay.
