About the role

As the ICT Network Architect you will provide strategic and technical leadership in designing and shaping ICT systems across SWARH and its health service members. You will ensure technology is secure, reliable, cost-effective and aligned with clinical and operational needs. The role also leads system integration, resilience, disaster recovery and modern technology initiatives to support safe and efficient health service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ICT architecture, technology roadmaps and standards aligned with clinical and operational priorities.
  • Ensure ICT solutions are secure, resilient, compliant and support effective disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Lead architecture governance, technical design reviews and provide expert advice on procurement and vendor solutions.
  • Drive innovation, automation and standardisation to improve efficiency, clinical outcomes and cost effectiveness.

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in ICT architecture or senior ICT engineering roles across multiple technical domains, including networking, storage, compute, data centres, cloud platforms and identity.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms and hybrid architectures.
  • High-level of effective communication skills (oral presentation, written, information presentation).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems proactively identifying improvement opportunities to add value to business operations.
