Job description

We're looking for a proactive, solutions-focused ICT Support Officer to join our team and keep our College's technology running smoothly — supporting staff and students across devices, networks, classroom technology and digital learning platforms. What you'll do

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to staff and students across hardware, software, devices and classroom AV systems
  • Configure, deploy and maintain our 1:1 student device fleet using MDM tools including Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
  • Support and troubleshoot wired and wireless network infrastructure
  • Administer user accounts and access across Active Directory, Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Support teachers and students using digital learning tools like SMART Boards, Lumio and Microsoft Teams
  • Maintain accurate records of ICT hardware, software and licences
  • Support cloud and on-premise infrastructure, including Azure, Intune and Autopilot
  • Support identity services including Entra ID, SSO integrations and MFA protocols
  • Assist with cybersecurity and compliance initiatives, including Essential Eight practices and the Linewize Student Safety Platform
  • Support effective use of Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Provide escalation support for more complex issues involving networks, servers and enterprise applications such as Sentral
  • Maintain clear, accurate ICT documentation and processes
  • Explain technical concepts clearly and patiently to non-technical users
  • Collaborate with the ICT team to continuously improve systems and the digital learning environment
  • Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the College's ICT environment
What you'll bring:
  • Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in an ICT or technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, Azure, Intune and device management
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network and classroom technology issues
  • Knowledge of wired/wireless networking, user administration and ICT security practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical users clearly and patiently
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach
Highly regarded (desirable):
  • Experience with school-based ICT systems such as Sentral, Papercut, Vivi or similar
  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including Essential Eight
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Islamic education
