Job Summary
We are looking for a Block Plant Manager to lead all operations at our concrete products manufacturing facility in Belgrade, Maine. The role is responsible for overseeing production of concrete Masonry Units (CMU), Pavers, and Segmented Retaining Walls (SRW), ensuring high standards in quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations and ensure production goals are met.
- Manage production scheduling and resource planning.
- Supervise and train production staff; support hiring and performance management.
- Maintain quality control in accordance with company and industry standards (ASTM).
- Lead plant maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Drive process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.
- Track and report production metrics.
- Support R&D projects and respond to customer inquiries when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with block/paver production equipment (e.g., Columbia, Besser, Tiger, Hess).
- 3+ years in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and standards.
- Excellent team leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial electronics.
- Familiarity with ASTM and OSHA standards.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
