PURPOSE
The In-Room Dining Cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality meals specifically tailored for in-room dining service. This role ensures that all food items are prepared with precision, consistency, and in accordance with health and safety standards. By maintaining excellent communication with culinary and service teams, the In-Room Dining Cook supports the delivery of an exceptional guest experience, upholding the culinary standards and brand values of Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Food Preparation & Quality Control: Prepare and cook menu items specific to in-room dining with a focus on taste, presentation, and accuracy. Ensure all dishes meet established standards and are executed in a timely manner.
- Maintain Consistency & Timeliness: Ensure consistent quality, portioning, and timeliness of all food items prepared for in-room dining service, regardless of volume or time of day.
- Collaboration & Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with kitchen staff, culinary leadership, and room service team members to ensure seamless coordination and service execution.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow all food safety guidelines including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of products. Prevent cross-contamination and monitor freshness of ingredients used in food preparation.
- Maintain Cleanliness & Organization: Keep workstations and kitchen areas clean, organized, and in compliance with all health department regulations at all times.
- Recipe & Presentation Adherence: Accurately follow all recipes, cooking times, and temperatures. Ensure plated items reflect presentation standards set by culinary leadership and are delivered guest ready.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure every plate is presented with care, including appropriate garnishes, accurate portions, and adherence to established quality expectations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and local health regulations, including those mandated by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Policy Adherence: Comply with Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel policies, including standards related to safety, sanitation, guest service, and kitchen procedures.
- Kitchen Readiness: Assist in maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and fully operational kitchen to support efficient in-room dining service.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Manager to support kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of food preparation under pressure.
- Proven working knowledge of kitchen design and the operation of grills, roast-and-hold ovens, conventional and convection ovens, fryers, etc.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
- One (1) year of cooking experience or comparable.
