- Assist with toileting/changing soiled students
- Prepare and communicate students’ daily schedule
- Prepare student-communication boards and devices

- Collect folders and student work
- Assist with tube feeding as needed
- Assist students with morning jobs
- Ensure students gather any needed materials prior to going to classes
- Minimize distractions and disruptions during instruction
- Assist with organizing classroom and teaching materials
- Escort students to gen-ed inclusion (recess, related arts, lunch, homeroom, field trips, etc.)
- Provide supervision of students during inclusion
- Prevent runners from eloping from the building/area
- Ensure parameters of IEP are followed during inclusion
- Escort/supervise students to/during therapy sessions (speech, PT, OT, counseling)
- Assist and monitor students while they work independently
- Assist with individual instruction for ELA, Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies
- Assist with small-group instruction ELA, Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies
- Assist students during whole-group instruction
- Provide one-on-one life skills training for students
- Provide feedback to teacher regarding success of students during inclusion
- Supervise other students while teacher leads instruction
- Escort students to nurse for illness/daily medication
- Lead student evacuation for safety in the event of restraint or student aggression
- Assist with evacuation of students from building or area in emergencies
- Provide coverage for lunch and restroom breaks for partner teacher
- Assist with data collection - Reading, ELA and Math assessments
- Assistance and coverage for SPED teacher to complete required documentation
- Assist students with extracurricular activities and school functions
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25,650.00 - $38,000.00 per year
