metroSTOR product systems provide waste and recycling infrastructure for city authorities, developers, corporate campuses, and universities. Our smart bins and enclosures make it easier for everyone to increase waste diversion for reuse, recycling or compost.
Our installers deliver and install metroSTOR products across the USA and we are looking for a new team based in Bloomfield CT working primarily in the northeast but with travel to other locations as required. Overnight travel (expenses paid for) is required as this role will cover multiple sections of the country.
Day to day work is varied and includes delivery, installation, repair and associated warehouse tasks. The Installer role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on larger projects, ensuring that all installations are completed efficiently and to company standards.
Duties
- Loading and delivery of products to customers using non-CDL trucks
- Loading, delivery and installation of product systems on site.
- On site inspection and sign-off on site of shipments to projects across the US
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Replacement of damaged or faulty components on project installations
- Offloading shipments for warehouse storage
- Loading of products for 3rd party delivery.
- Packaging of replacement parts for shipment to site.
- Maintaining work areas clean and work equipment in order.
About You
- Previous experience in installation or a related field, with a working knowledge of lifting, positioning, erecting, constructing, building, and assembling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential extended hours as needed.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures/installation manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety rules.
- Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 75 lbs.
- Job assignments will regularly require extended hours and some overnight travel. All travel time to job sites is paid, and overnight expenses paid.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.
