The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for driven, enthusiastic interns to join our team during the 2025 - 2026 season. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors at all levels (both internally and externally) and take pride in all work completed. The individual needs to be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines. Individual must also have the ability to work independently, take initiative, provide solutions, and make informed decisions.
Essential Duties

- Pre-Game: Assist with setup of promotional materials and sponsorship signage throughout the arena, help organize and deliver giveaway items to gates and suites, prep intermission game supplies and in-game sponsored elements, coordinate with Partnership Activations Manager on pre-game elements like puck dropper and VIP arrivals, assist with front office meal logistics
- In-Game: Help execute in-game promotions and sponsorship activations, escort guests from suites to ice for in-game promotions, support Street Team with fan interaction elements tied to sponsorship promotions, support the promotional table and various other concourse elements
- Post-Game: Assist with breakdown of promotional materials and sponsorship signage throughout the arena, help distribute sponsor giveaways and manage post-game fan experience, assist with player meal logistics
- Office Tasks: Gain insight into sales cycle (pitch, sell, activate), learn the various assets and hospitality available to sponsors, learn the renewal process for sponsors and various systems used to manage the entire sponsorship cycle
- Other roles and responsibilities may be required
Qualifications
- Current college student (undergraduate or graduate). Must be able to receive course credit.
- Interest in pursuing a career in professional sports and/or entertainment industry
- Self-starter mentality and desire to take initiative
- Must be able to work all home games (nights, weekends, and holidays)
