Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Helpdesk Specialist to join our dynamic IT support team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance and will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer networking, operating systems, and hardware, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to provide effective support to our users.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of computer systems, including Mac OS and Windows environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to VPN connectivity and LAN configurations.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in Jira or similar tracking tools.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify recurring issues and implement solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including computer networking principles.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and computer hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy is a plus.
- Understanding of VPN technologies and LAN environments is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
