Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and functionality in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Your expertise in custodial services and facilities maintenance will contribute significantly to the overall upkeep of our spaces.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain a clean environment.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Carry out industrial cleaning duties as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs as necessary.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness in commercial spaces.
- Act as a porter when needed, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and safety standards.
- Ability to perform floor care tasks including buffing and waxing.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting or standing for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
