Junior IT Support Specialist
We are currently seeking a driven Junior IT Support Specialist to work onsite at our Brooklyn office while developing and refining their IT skills under the remote supervision and mentorship of our excellent IT Manager. The individual chosen for this role should have a basic understanding of IT fundamentals and best practices, including commonly-used systems and technologies (specific details found under the “Qualifications” heading below), and should possess a strong sense of initiative and a huge desire to grow and overcome challenges.
The Junior IT Support Specialist will report to our remotely-based IT Manager.
Responsibilities:
Office 365 User Admin (Exchange, Security, Compliance, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Teams Voice).
Microsoft Entra ID Admin (formerly Azure Active Directory).
Troubleshooting issues with Windows Server 2012/2016/2022 and macOS.
Windows Server active directory management, local domain, shared drive, and Hyper-V virtualization.
Active Directory Management for users, groups, and GPO policies.
NAS (Network Attached Storage) Synology system management.
MDM for macOS (Mosyle) and Windows (Microsoft Intune).
Admin for networking-related matters and network printers.
Admin for managed Wi-Fi system.
Data archiving (Cloud and Local).
Admin for firewall (RADIUS, LDAP, VPN, DHCP, Subnetting, NAT, VLANs, firewall network troubleshooting).
Provide consistently excellent and prompt support to the IT Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
1+ years’ experience providing IT support for a small- to medium-sized organization.
Basic understanding of the following systems, technologies, and processes (hands-on experience is a huge plus):
- Office 365 User Management - SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Teams Voice
- Windows Server (2012/2016/2022) - Active Directory, Local Domain Management, Hyper-V
- Active Directory Management - User and Group Management, GPOs
- NAS (Network Attached Storage) - Synology (or Similar NAS System)
- Windows and macOS Troubleshooting
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) - Mosyle or Similar (macOS), Intune or Similar (Windows)
- Networking Knowledge - TCP/IP, DNS, Network Ports
- Computer Setup - Windows and macOS
- Network Printer Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi Setup and Troubleshooting
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong level of conscientiousness and the ability to handle highly sensitive information, systems, and materials with great care.
Good communication skills in both verbal and written forms.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
