Summary
We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team at Sandy Creek Pet Resort. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of pets during boarding and grooming sessions and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and eager to support our operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe handling and restraint of pets during procedures.
- Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, bathing, exercising, barn chores, and yard work
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming, kennel and farm areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and services provided.
- Support groomers with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care.
Requirements
- Experience in animal handling or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pet care practices and animal behavior.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
