Label Creator Agent Cannabis Packaging Department

Sanctuary Medicinals
Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Create the future of cannabis, join our manufacturing team at Sanctuary!

Department: Process and Labeling

Reports to: P&L Lead/P&L Supervisor

Job Title: Label Creation Agent

Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm

Daily Role Expectations:

1.Physical Handling of All Sanctuary Medicinals Products:

Check in products from all originating departments.

Identify concerns with all product types:

Marijuana Infused Products – Edible

Marijuana Infused Products – Non-Edible

Packaged Flower

Infused Flower

Concentrates/Extracts

Vape Products

Verify all product counts:

Physical

METRC

BioTrack

Break products from their bulk unit tag into smaller shipping case sizes as directed by MPD.

Check products for defects:

Unsealed units

Damaged packaging

Incorrect packaging

Incorrect counts

2. Working Heavily in METRC and BioTrack:

Requires deep understanding of both platforms. Significant portions of the day are spent digitally processing packages. Attention to detail is crucial as small mistakes can lead to major problems.

Must understand how all Sanctuary Medicinals products are represented in both METRC and BioTrack, including differences between the two platforms.

Packaged Flower is reported as a gram amount in METRC and a unit count in BioTrack.

Infused Flower is reported as a gram amount in METRC (usable weight related to concentrates/extracts) and a unit count in BioTrack.

Manage large amounts of METRC tags per batch. Digitally process packages into smaller shipping sizes. Mistakes in any single tag can affect the entire batch.

Run and print multiple reports daily in both METRC and BioTrack. Each product leaving the room requires a report for the tags associated with it.

For example, an incoming transfer from Dry Trim may have 1g, 3.5g, and 7g of the same strain and batch on a single transfer. Each size will require a report for the tags split from it when being transferred out of P&L.

3. Creating TAC Labels for All SM Products:

Read and understand COAs from multiple testing labs, noting any subtle differences and identifying mistakes or concerns.

Understand all SM products, not just a small segment, as all products come through P&L for label creation.

Create labels and understand the differences between product types and sizes.

Examples include Packaged Flower (various sizes), PRJ, tinctures, capsules, transdermal gels, RSO, various concentrates and extracts, vapes, edibles, and more.

Perform large quantities of mathematical calculations, including working with very small numbers and repeating decimals to ensure label compliance.

For example, calculating the number of 5mg servings in a package based on total active cannabinoids and dividing each cannabinoid amount per serving.

Pay attention to detail and understand CCC regulations, including packaging and labeling requirements.

Work within BarTender software to create labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Maintain and troubleshoot Epson printers used exclusively in P&L.

4. Computer Work:

Work on a computer for up to 8 hours at a time, managing time and workload effectively.

Utilize inventory tracking programs (METRC and BioTrack) and Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel).

Work with BarTender software for label creation.

5. High Level of Integrity:

Intaking products from all departments requires awareness of all SM products and potential errors.

Log any discrepancies or issues.

Exhibit honesty and integrity, admitting and owning up to mistakes quickly for correction.

Ensure mistakes are caught to prevent non-compliance issues at stores or with wholesale clients.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to both receive constructive feedback and provide it thoughtfully to colleagues. Additionally, they should exhibit flexibility in adapting to evolving responsibilities within the team's dynamic environment.

Skills:

*Troubleshooting *High attention to detail *Critical thinking *Ability to catch and admit to own mistakes, and identify mistakes from ITLS, originating departments, or vendors *High level of computer and mathematical competency *Ability to manage own time and workload *Willingness to ask questions and take initiative *Ability to sit for long periods *Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly *Ability to obtain Lift Certification *Ability to climb ladders *Ability to use sound judgement for safety *Ability to work in an environment with Kief in the air
