Position: Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime as required
ORG Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician to join our team at Affinity Grow,Connecticut’s premiere cannabis micro-cultivator. The Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician plays a critical role in the processing of cannabis by performing all post-harvest activities, including harvesting, drying, shucking, trimming, and curing flower and biomass. The ideal candidate will adhere strictly to company procedures and state regulatory guidelines throughout all phases of post-harvest operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute all post-harvest activities, including drying, shucking, trimming, and curing of cannabis flower and biomass.
- Maintain accurate inventory records as per company procedure and state regulatory requirements.
- Follow company procedures to clean all tools, equipment, and work areas after harvest.
- Support operational needs by completing additional tasks assigned by leadership.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundational knowledge of horticulture, plant anatomy, pest management, and cultivation practices.
- Familiarity with cannabis-specific post-harvest processes, including harvesting, drying, and curing.
- Hands-on experience with trimming and curing tools and equipment.
- High attention to detail in handling cannabis flower and biomass.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others.
- Physically able to sit or stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow gowning protocols.
- Comfortable working in fluctuating environmental conditions (e.g., varying temperature, humidity, lighting).
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with cannabis harvesting.
- Knowledge of plant trimming and harvest processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility is necessary.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local cannabis regulations is desirable.
