Job Summary
Bright World Technologies Inc. is seeking a Hardware Technician to join our team in Dallas, TX. This is an on-site, full-time position requiring hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, Windows OS, Mac OS, Chromebook OS, imaging, and packaging/warehousing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that involves lifting and handling computer equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform break/fix repairs on laptops, desktops, and related hardware.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, Mac OS, and Chromebook OS on various devices.
- Execute imaging processes to deploy operating systems and applications efficiently.
- Handle packaging and warehousing tasks (approximately 25% of the role), including inventory management, labeling, and preparing devices for shipment.
- Inspect, test, and verify hardware components for proper functionality.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace to ensure efficiency in handling equipment.
- Should have a good working knowledge of Excel, like simple tasks such as text entry.
- Work collaboratively with the team to streamline processes and improve workflow.
- Lift and move computer equipment and packaging materials, up to 50 lbs as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience with break/fix repairs on laptops or desktops.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Mac OS, and Chromebook OS installation, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Strong knowledge on Laptop/Hardware components like RAM, SSD's, NVME's.
- Must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Should have a good working knowledge of Excel, including tasks such as data entry.
- Familiarity with imaging tools and deployment processes.
- Ability to handle packaging tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on role that involves lifting and moving equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
