As a Lawncare Maintenance and Fertilizer Applicator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients’ lawns remain lush, healthy, and attractive throughout every season. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ranging from routine mowing and edging to specialized fertilizer applications and seasonal treatments.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional lawn maintenance services including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing.
- Apply fertilizers, weed control, and pest management solutions according to established schedules and safety protocols.
- Inspect lawns for signs of disease, pest infestation, and other issues. Recommend and implement appropriate treatments.
- Operate and maintain lawncare equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and spreaders in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and products applied.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as aeration, dethatching, overseeding, and planting.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including safe handling and disposal of chemicals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional horticultural or agronomy education is a plus.
- Previous experience in lawncare, landscaping, or grounds maintenance -comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidates.
- Familiarity with fertilizer application and lawncare equipment is a strong asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive tasks, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid MA driver’s license with a clean driving record required; ability to operate company vehicles.
- Willingness to obtain any required state or local licenses/certifications for fertilizer and pesticide application (company support provided).
