Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Install & Service Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for a mid-level to experienced technician who is ready to step into a leadership position while still being hands-on with installations and service work. You will oversee projects, manage subcontractors and employees, and ensure all installations and service calls are completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage installation and service projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and in-house technicians.
- Perform hands-on installation and troubleshooting of security systems, including fire alarms, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems.
- Conduct site surveys, review plans, and ensure all projects meet specifications and deadlines.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress with clients and management.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with security system installation and service (fire alarms, access control, video surveillance, alarms, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- NICET or other certifications (preferred but not required).
