A Lead Tech is one who consistently demonstrates integrity, embraces the Golden Wood culture and has a servant’s heart. They have a passion for animal care and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Lead Techs are responsible for executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable to the Golden Wood standard.
Duties
- Daily care of feeding and medicating dogs, cats, and small animals.
- Lead shift of co-workers, giving them vision for the day, and leading well.
- Daily cleaning of dog runs and cat condos - to provide exceptional cleaning standards.
- Provide basic grooming for dogs - baths, nail trims, and ear cleanings.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being at check-in & check-out.
- Understanding the basics of our software, Gingr, to complete check-ins & check-outs and communicate all concerns to the staff about the pet and/or owner.
- Helping oversee the overall flow of the location during your shift.
- Supporting your Manager in following through with concerns or issues with the pets or owners of the pets.

Pay/Tips
- Once you’ve completed the Lead Tech training program (which typically takes 4-6 weeks), you will be a part of the tip pool. Tips on a weekly basis average an extra $3-$5/hr for every employee. Taking your pay to $18-$22/hr. (Start pay depends on previous experience.)
