Position: Legal Administrative Assistant (Litigation)
Location: Denver, CO
Clark Hill PLC is seeking an experienced full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to support its Litigation attorneys in the Denver office. A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience and the ability to work in a team environment is required. Experience working with Colorado courts is preferred. This position reports to the Office Manager, as well as assigned attorneys, and is responsible for providing the requisite legal clerical and administrative support needs of assigned attorneys. The ideal candidate will be proficient across multiple technical platforms. This is a 40 hour per week, non-exempt, in-office position.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Provide legal secretarial and administrative (clerical) support to assigned Attorneys.
  • Prepare letters, memos, pleadings, reports and other documentation as required.
  • Provide administrative and litigation assistance to Team Lead and assigned Teams.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts.
  • Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney.
  • File pleadings (electronically or otherwise) with the appropriate court systems.
  • Docket dates into a central docketing system.
  • Enter conflict information into the system to run conflict checks for new clients and prepare supporting documentation
  • Utilize internal systems to file, store, retrieve, update and delete documents.
  • Complete and submit check request forms.
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
  • Manage incoming phone calls and inquiries, (as required by some attorneys).
  • Responsible for time entries.
  • Understand and deliver on the needs of the internal customers.
  • Perform billable work if qualified, and if requested, on an as-needed basis.
  • Maintain an appropriate filing system for all attorney and client work.
  • Prepare expense reimbursement documentation.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned or requested by the Office Manager, Attorneys, Paralegals and Business Unit Leader.

  • Know what attorneys do and understand how to effectively deliver services within their needs and preferences.
  • Know how the firm works and how to get things done.
  • Consistently meet the expectations and requirements of the internal customers.
  • Highly competent in MS Office applications and other legal software as required.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of prior successful experience as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant.
The salary range at the time of posting is $29.81 - $34.62 per hour ($62,000-$72,000 annually), based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, Clark Hill offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short-term disability, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, paid time off, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
