Job Summary:
Our law firm is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Legal Assistant who excels in organization and providing exceptional customer service. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting a Partner and Senior Attorney, including e-filing legal documents, managing client communications, maintaining schedules, and other administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will excel at time management, be results-driven, a self-starter, be willing to share their thoughts and opinions when appropriate, and enjoys stability.
Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist the Partner and senior attorney in managing their schedules, appointments, and calendars
- E-File legal documents with the court and other administrative agencies
- Manage client files and keep them organized
- Prepare correspondence and other written materials as needed
- Perform general administrative duties, such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and mailing
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a law firm or legal setting required
- Clio proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Results-driven and a self-starter.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and appearance
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Additional Notes:
This is an in-office position.
