Cordant Health Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Coordinator to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this critical role, you?ll oversee all legal inquiries for the laboratory, including handling subpoenas, record requests, and coordinating expert testimony. Cordant Health Solutions is a drug testing laboratory that provides services to criminal justice agencies throughout the U.S. (e.g., probation departments, parole departments, drug courts, etc.). Individuals that are being tested under these programs may have court proceedings where documentation related to drug test results are needed in court. Our legal support team handles all such requests for our clients.
While prior legal or toxicology experience is a plus, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
? Coordinate internally and externally to process legal documents such as subpoenas and record requests
? Arrange for expert testimony and ensure lab results are legally defensible
? Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of PHI (Protected Health Information)
? Process and respond to donor PHI requests
? Send confidential reports securely using encrypted email
? Assemble litigation packets and affidavits in response to legal requests
? Maintain and manage the Legal Calendar for testimony scheduling
? Create and track invoices for legal services including litigation packets and affidavits
? Comply with internal Quality Control and Compliance policies
Additional Duties:
? Support the contracting process, including notarization of contracts.
Qualifications:
? High School Diploma or equivalent required
? Familiarity with legal terminology is preferred
? Notary Public or Remote Online Notarization (can be obtained after hire)

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Strong organizational and time management abilities
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
? Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems and programs
? Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines
