Can Shed is a full-service redemption center. We redeem all brands of containers provided they are sold in Iowa, displaying an Iowa refund stamp and are intact. We accept aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles from both commercial and walk-in customers.
We currently offer commercial pick-up service in Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and northern Washington counties.

Driver/Transportation Supervisor
Can Shed LLC is a growing redemption Center that provides pick up services to commercial, retail, redemption centers, and fundraising markets. We are looking for a Driver/Route Manager to service and manage a routine service route.
Responsibilities
- Must perform regular vehicle maintenance including checking the oil, replacing lights and fuses, cleaning inside and outside the truck, and minor repairs.
- Invoice the vendor account with accuracy.
- Utilize the correct invoice and route schedule is used per date.
- Ensure the product count on the invoice is accurate with the quantity a vendor is presenting for pickup.
- Accurately record the time in and out on each vendor site.
- Follow any particular rules an account has for pickup including availability for pickup, sign-in sheets, parking areas, etc.
- Leave the vendors with packing materials for continued service.
- Communicating with store managers to identify efficacies and requests and then accommodating those standards.
- Prepare the truck and view the route for the next working day. Confirm the truck is ready for the next pickup cycle.
- Make sure their work phones are fully charged for each working period.
- Unload the trucks when returning from a route, and assist teammates as they unload their trucks.
- Store the products coming off the trucks in the proper areas. Communicate with the supervisor warehouse to ensure this is being done correctly.
- Clean and sweep the unloading dock after any unloading activity. All broken debris must be thrown away.
- Communicate any routing changes to administration and discuss any obstacles and/or consequences.
- Turn in all fuel receipts by the appropriate deadlines.
- Manage the fuel levels and fluids in the vehicles.
Experience/Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of experience as a Class A CDL driver.
- Valid driver’s license with Class A license (CDL) with airbrakes.
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card within 30 days of employment with prior medical card to DOT.
