About the Role
As a Logistics and Customer Service Specialist , you will work closely with customers and our Global Business Services (GBS) team to ensure the seamless sale and distribution of finished goods. You will be responsible for fulfilling customer and market requirements, responding to inquiries, coordinating shipments, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, you will oversee logistics operations, including transport coordination, documentation, and inventory optimization, in compliance with company policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between the factory, customers, GBS, and related internal and external departments to resolve issues and ensure alignment on priorities. Prevent out-of-stock situations and maintain targeted Days of Inventory Outstanding (DIO) for each market
Collaborate with various functions to manage export processes and optimize freight planning
Coordinate transport orders and logistics for all inbound and outbound shipments. Communicate with transporters, suppliers, and other JTI entities. Manage shipments using SAP TM, including processing transport orders, monitoring deliveries, and validating transportation invoices
Ensure that all contracts and shipping documentation requirements are clearly understood and accurately prepared in coordination with the relevant functions
Coordinate with markets to ensure tax stamps are available for production and ensure compliance with related processes (e.g., stamp reporting, returns, and damage handling) according to legal requirements
Lead weekly and monthly transportation forecast planning and contribute to optimizing logistics processes. Participate in logistics excellence projects
Maintain and promote a safe work environment by taking full accountability for safety measures and supporting JTI’s goal of ZERO Lost Time Injuries (LTI)
Ensure full compliance with the JTI Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures, labor laws, corporate policies, internal regulations, ISO requirements, and 5S3R principles
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement within Manufacturing Services (MS)
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Logistics, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in client-facing roles within an export-oriented or international trade environment; supply chain management experience is a plus
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Strong communication and organizational skills
Flexible and capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with SAP systems is highly desirable
