Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain, ensuring efficient operations and optimal inventory levels. A strong knowledge of international logistics, including FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) practices, and experience working with shipping carriers and logistics platforms is required for this position. Candidates must show proven analytical skills and a solid understanding of logistics processes, including inventory control, materials management, and transportation planning.
Duties
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage materials procurement, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary supplies while adhering to budget constraints.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in logistics operations.
- Utilize transportation management systems to plan and coordinate shipments effectively.
- Develop transportation plans that optimize routes and reduce costs while meeting delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations across the supply chain.
- Monitor profit loss metrics related to logistics activities and propose strategies for improvement.
- Maintain compliance with international trade regulations and FTZ practices.
Experience
- Knowledge of FTZ practices and compliance is mandatory.
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and materials management practices.
- Experience in procurement processes, including sourcing and vendor management.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems and transportation planning methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
