Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and computer networking. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and the ability to work effectively in both residential and commercial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and structured cabling.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best installation practices for low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer networking and low voltage equipment.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations.
- Build and configure computer hardware as needed for system integration.
- Provide field service support to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Skills
- Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting CCTV systems and alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices.
- Experience with cabling techniques for low voltage applications.
- Ability to build and configure computer hardware effectively.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations related to low voltage installations.
- Previous experience in field service roles is preferred.
- Certification in low voltage systems or related fields is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
