Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a candidate to work in the facility's maintenance department! The ideal candidate is someone that wants to learn the basics and grow in their job duties over time.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Basic experience with electrical and plumbing, facility is willing to teach you what you need to know.
3. Previous experience in a healthcare facility preferred, not required.
4. Valid NYS Driver license.
Job Duties Include:
- Maintains all plumbing and electrical equipment/fixtures on units.
- Maintains physical environment on units including walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Reviews maintenance logs/work orders on all units.
- Completes all other preventative maintenance checklists as assigned.
- Preparing surfaces for painting. Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster or other filler. Applies coats of paint, varnish, stains, enamels or lacquer to redecorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimming, and fixtures of the facility.
- Repairs partitions, doors, windows, floor, furniture, and building framework, as assigned.
- Assisting with plumbing repair, replacement and assembly, as assigned.
- Installs floor tile, baseboard, wall covering, and ceiling tiles, as assigned.
- Maintaining facility grounds, which includes cutting grass, cleaning the yard, trimming shrubbery, raking, planting, and weeding. Cleans parking lots and driveways. Removes snow from sidewalks and driveways and spreads sand or salt to prevent slipping.
- Stores supplies and tools in a neat, clean and orderly manner. Maintains work area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
- Assisting with fire drills as requested by the Environmental Services Director
- Assisting with the safety program to provide a safe working environment and prevent injuries.
Demonstrates knowledge of all Maintenance Department policies and procedures.
